3D artist and Youtuber CodyCantEatThis has created a way to explore the world of Pokemon Red & Blue with 3D graphics and a more modern perspective.

Over the years, Pokemon fans have spent countless hours trying to catch them all on many different platforms. Whether free mobile game Pokemon GO who took the world by storm, gathering Pokemon Trading cards that have skyrocketed in value over the years or lost hundreds of hours in the latest remakes of Pokemon Shiny Diamond and Shiny Pearl, fans can’t get enough of the Pocket Monsters. While many people devoured the franchise’s content, one fan decided to update the original games with a more modern perspective.

The Incredibly Talented 3D Artist and Youtuber CodyCantEatThis recently started his own fan project which turned into a 3D recreation of pokemon red and bluefrom the Kanto region (via GameRant), CodyCantEatThis has spent the last year recreating popular 2D games with a 3D perspective. After finishing a 3D version of the popular games Sonic, Mario and Legend of Zelda, they decided to start working on their currently unfinished 3D remake of pokemon red and blue.

The recent release of Pokemon Shiny Diamond and Shiny Pearl remakes give players a more modern look than the original DS releases; however, it’s not the full 3D recreation that fans were hoping for. The project includes every village found in the Kanto region, gym leaders, items, and even the chance to encounter and catch wild animals. Pokemon. This fan project is unfinished, and the artist is aware that releasing a 3D Pokemon remake would attract Nintendo’s lawyers. CodyCantEatThis’s impressive work in creating 3D worlds has boosted subscriber numbers. Fans are eager to see the project continue, hoping this work will lead to more lucrative endeavors for the talented 3D artist.

Impressive fan projects have graced gamers over the years, but Nintendo has been reluctant to allow fans to remake its properties. CodyCantEatThis has recreated many fan-favorite games using the Unity game engine, and their work creating 3D worlds can be viewed on their Youtube channel.
