The upcoming Apple TV series Severance, which is about a high-tech way to achieve work-life balance, features a room with hundreds of Stratasys F370 3D printers.
While this isn’t the first cameo of a 3D printer in a popular TV series, it’s one of the first times 3D printers have been featured as large-scale digital production devices on a farm. giant 3D printers.
The show also recognizes the style and design of one of the Stratasys F370 3D printers, which marked a step change in 3D printer design to look more like the powerful and futuristic digital manufacturing tools that they are.
From Ben Stiller and creator Dan Erickson, Severance centers on Mark Scout (Adam Scott), a team leader of office workers whose memories have been surgically split between their work and personal lives.
This experience of “work-life balance” is challenged as Mark finds himself at the center of an unfolding mystery that will force him to come to terms with the true nature of his work…and himself.
Severance stars Adam Scott, who stars alongside Oscar winner Patricia Arquette, Emmy winner John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus and Christopher Walken , Oscar winner.
Update: Not as many of the machines appearing in the Severance scene were renders as one might have imagined. Below is a photo of a batch of machines as it leaves the Stratasys factory. It was published by Stratasys SVP – Strategic Growth, Patrick Carey.
